TANKER ROLLOVER ON I-79

Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched at 05:24 on Monday, March 28th, 2022 for a reported tractor-trailer rollover crash with entrapment on Interstate 79 just south of the north-bound Ruff Creek exit. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found a tanker on its side in the ditch just south of the northbound off ramp at exit 19. One occupant was extricated and quickly transported by EMS Southwest to a nearby hospital.

The tractor and tanker container were heavily damaged but minimal contents were spilled. WFTVFC was assisted on scene by Pennsylvania State Police, EMS Southwest, and PennDOT.
